Mislabled fish, any ideas?
 

I received this fish with some small electric yellows and I'm having a hard time placing what fish it is. All I can gather is that it is some sort of cichlid and I'm hoping someone else can narrow it a bit more. He eats like a pig and is very healthy but has some minor aggression issues, thankfully my dominant male electric yellow keeps him settled down though.

I would guess a very stressed pseudotropheus socolofi.

To me looks like a blue zebra or electric blue?? Looks like a full grown version of my Cobalt Blue Zebra.
I would say for sure of the African Cichlids.

I disagree about it being a cobalt blue zebra. Not the black on the doesal and anal fins. Sure signs it is not a cobalt blue.

The barring is signs he is stressed. I don't know if it is water quality or the fact that he might have aggressive tankmates. Another possibly is he is a hybrid. But t me he looks to be a stressed socolofi.

Im by no means an expert but whilst browsing my lfs online stock and seeing your photo, it looks like a Slender Mbuna 'Chewere' Pseudatropheus sp. 'elongatus chewere'. ??? Just a stab in the dark.

Elongatus have much more black and have a yellow tail fin.

thanks for the help guys looks like he's a Slender mbuna - Pseudotropheus elongatus, the pictures and behavioral things I've seen and read are pretty much spot on, also they are supposed to have the bars in their coloring.
