Newbie Hi, I am new to the hobby, I bought my son a 10g in April 2011, not knowing what i was doing i killed my share of fish. After doing some research I had an Ah-ha moment, and kind of started to figure out how to keep my fish alive, healthy and happy! Santa brought us a 29g for Christmas, and we are loving it. We are still waiting for it to cycle before we begin to stock. Let the fun begin!!! Oh yeah I am already considering a 5g betta tank! |
welcome to the forum. Cycling is VERY important, but there are was to quick cycle the tank. The #1 way is to have a spare filter handy for a change over ;) |

hi you probably know this already, but just incase...... you need to keep the bacteria fed, otherwise they will die and you'll not cycle, fish food,a prawn should keep it going, unless you are adding fish, then forget what i've just said lol and welcome by the way. |
