Fry Tank
 

Is a live plant in a 10l tank enough oxygen for fry? It has a filter but I'm scared it will suck the babies up. I've been told to put a live plant in instead. Would this work?

The filter does more than put oxygen in the water, it is necessary to keep the water relatively clean and to create movement in the water.
Yes, you should take the filter out of the tank because the fry WILL be sucked up the pipe but replace it with a cheap sponge filter which can be bought for only a few dollars. The sponge filters are not as efficient as other filters but it only needs to stay in the tank for about three/four weeks or so until you think the fry are too big to gety sucked up.

Yup get a sponge filter, fry need good oxygen saturation in their tank to help them grow, and actually I use sponge filters in two of my tanks as the permanent filters, they do their job well, creating a place for the beneficial bacteria to colonize.
