Filtration

Is it ok to use 2 power/overhang filters for a tank? I have a 46-gal with an AquaClear filter (can't remember the model offhand, but it is for a 50-gal), and a friend gave me a brand new Penguin BioWheel filter for a 50-gal. I'm wondering... could I use these both on a 46-gal, or is this too much?

Thanks all for putting up with my ignorance and noob questions. You guys are such a great resource! If only the LFS was half this good!

That is fine, you cant have too much filtration!

Agree with BN.:)
Nothing wrong with that so you should be fine.

Can't trust lfs these days unless they knew what they were talking about.http://www.smilies.our-local.co.uk/i.../Sarcastic.gif

Yeah that should be just fine man!

Those are two great filters, probably some of the best HOB's on the market.

Yes I have a 46 Gallon bowfront with two penguin 50 G filters and it keeps my tank crystal clear.
