I posted this in the Cichlid forum as well : The Cichlid Room Companion - Thorichthys meeki in the wild by Juan Miguel Artigas Azas

I was surprised to see that in the wild Fire mouth cichlids are found in both fresh and brackish water.

why? There are many many fish that migrate from SW to FW and from BW to FW.....
