tiger barb fry. is it moving day?

I have 20 tiger barbs in a 10 gallon planted/breeding tank. They are appx. 6 weeks old, about 1/2" long and in good health. Would it make scents to move them into my 40 gallon tank with tons of room and plenty of space to grow out? Also at which point would it be considered safe to mix them in with the adult parents?

hi
as long as they can't get sucked up into the filter, and the tank is fully cycled,
i don't see why you couldn't move them, still have it planted so they have places to hide,
and anything a barb can fit into its mouth it will eat,so beware,i think they need
to be bigger if i were you, before putting them in with the adults.

I went ahead and transfered the fry to the 40 gallon this weekend due to over crowding and water quality. I have been running the tank for a couple of weeks anticipating this move. Stocking the tank with seasoned sponge filters, artifical and live plants with previous used red flint gravel. And yes the fry are the only ones in the tank and they are having the time of their life. I guessed pretty good. Thank you for your time and effort, I needed some moral support to make this happen.
