African ID 3 Attachment(s) I picked up these 2 guys from a tiny pet shop I came across the other week, and the guys in the store didn't know what they were. They were in a tank labelled 'african cichlids' that mostly had peacocks in it. They have become much brighter since coming home but one is brighter than the other. They're quite pretty! Anyone know what they are? Im hoping they'll fit in well, so far so good! Thanks! |
I am no expert.....but possibly Sciaenochromis fryeri or a hybrid thereof. I usually don't get any fish unless I know exactly what it is prior to buying it. Sometimes one can get killer deals when the LFS doesnt know what they have. |
They are placidochromis electra. Very stunning fish when adults. They get to about 10" and a considered haps. Slow growers but they are well worth the effort. |
Ok cool thanks. I was kinda hoping they were placidochromis phenochilus I never see them for sale around my area and look amazing! But I still love them, thanks again! Posted via Mobile Device |
Well they could be placidochromis phenochilus. As juvies they look very similar. Even as adults they can look similar. I guess time will tell. |
Either way they're gonna be gorgeous so I'm pretty happy :) Posted via Mobile Device |
