Suggest me some easy aquatic plant.

Hi Im looking for some really easy plants which won't need nothing but bright light and clean water. I have no plan right now to use fertilizer. I am 43 G tank with some tiny cichlids. I had anacharis and horwort but I am looking for something which will stick to the aquarium bed gravel and cover it. I don't have soil in my aquarium only gravel. My aquarium gravel depth is 2 inch. I would like to cover the aquarium bed. Thanks

Which cichlids? If you have rift lake species, like Mbuna or shellies, Corkscrew Vallisneria is ideal; it grows in those lakes, and loves the harder water the fish prefer.

If you have soft or medium hard water cichlids, I would suggest pygmy chain sword as a basic cover plant, and other Echinodorus (sword) species. Brazilian Pennywort does well floating, which is beneficial to cichlids from South America that do not appreciate overhead light.

Byron.
