Egg Clutches Stuck!

Ok, I now have another cluster but now both of them are stuck to the glass and will not come off. Is there anything I can do to remove the clutch and not destroy half the eggs? I tried lightly pushing them but they won't even budge. The other ones were layed on a side pane where these are on the back.

Can I use a razor blade or something similar to remove them or will it be better to just leave them since if I can not remove them there is little chance the snails will knock them off the glass?

I have used a razor blade with some success. Some failure, too. I have no real 100% effective method. But the razor blade method does work and I've gotten more successful with practice.

You can try splashing some tank water on them to soften, then wiggle and splash some more. This usually works. A credit card will work also but you will damage many eggs that way. Don't worry when if it pops off and lands in the water, just pay attention so you can take it out right away.

You might also want to leave a clutch in place to see if it will hatch. Every single clutch I've left alone has hatched. The only downfall is that you won't get to see the babies right away. It's time-consuming but easy enough to transfer them to a breeder net once you see them climbing the walls.
