Pleco's feces?
 

I am housing a common Pleco for a buddy of mine until he can decide what he wants to do with him. He tried to start a tank but didn't cycle it. ammonia spiked really high so I housed his fish in my QT. Two Danios and 3 Platies died from Ich. The Pleco survived and after watching him for a good while decided he was clean and put him in my 55g tank.

Anyways to my question....He will often have trails of feces hanging out I'd say between 6-10 inches. It's kind of disgusting. haha. I wan't sure if this was normal for the common pleco because my BN Pleco I have had for about a year isn't like that. Diet is flakes, algae wafers, dried brine shrimp and dried blood worms. Will be starting to give freeze dried glass worms in the next week.

Anyone else see this with their Pleco?

Yes, If they aren't trailing a stream of poop ,,there's something wrong with em.:lol:

:lol: Okay, I just wanted to make sure, didn't know if something was wrong with him or his diet. It kind of concerned me because my BN isn't nearly as bad! Thanks!

Yup. It freaked me out the first time I saw it draped all over my plants. :shock:
