My first shrimp tank

I have a bunch of RCS that should be arriving tomorrow...got the tank up and running. It's low tech at the moment. 20T with 55w of 6700k PC lighting and an AquaClear 50 running sponges and Purigen. Black sand substrate. No ferts or CO2 at the moment.

Plants include:

Narrow Leaf Java Fern
Java Fern Windelov
Handful of crypts
Some Pygmy chain sword
Christmas moss
Couple springs of Sunset hygro

MTSnails, ramhorn snails, and some pond snails
Shrimp
No fish

That's it for now.

very cool!! nice photos also.

The only thing I would suggest is to cover that filter intake.

With what? It already has a big hunk of sponge on it. I am taking it out soon though I think. I just installed a sponge filter today. I had the sponge in my main tank seeding for a week and I'll let it continue doing more seeding for a nother week or so then I'll remove the HOB.
