My Fish Prefers cold water
I bought an albino catfish when i first started my tropical tank a few years back. He was the last one living in my tank and it looked like i was moving interstate. I didn't know what to do with him and i didn't know anyone who had tropical fish. I thought i'd just wait and see what happened. After the Molly died Barney just sat around on the bottom and didn't appear to do anything, he did this even when the other fish were alive as well. I went away for three days and when i got back i discovered that my heater had blown up and Barney was living in cold water, but he was still sitting around at the bottom of the tank. I didn't know what to do and i was living 80km away from the nearest shop so i put my goldfish from the other tank in with him to cheer himup. since then they have been inseperable, Barney constantly follows Apudo around the tank and I couldn't believe it but he's living in temperatures below 18 Degrees. I wanted to no am i doing the right thing should i get a new heater or leave him as he is? |
