new o-rings!

well i cant really find where to ask this, sooo feel free to move it if this isnt the place :)

so, yeah im trying to get my older hydor prime 20 filter up and going, but the O-ring around the pump head is shot and its sucking air in from around where it meets the canister. I cant find anyone in the US online that sells the O-rings, and i would like to avoid having them shipped from the UK if possible. that gets $$ :(

anyone have a good way to rig my own, or a place to find one that I havnt checked?

I would say screw it and buy another penguin/emporor :D :D

i would LOVE to lol but i need a canister type filter >< and even 15 bucks for shipping on a $5 part is still cheaper than replacing the filter lol

My LFS carries a box of used miscellaneous aquarium stuff, including many filter parts, the only thing i can think of is maybe yours might?

home depot.

Just bring the old one in to match the size...

or try McMaster-Carr...they got everything...if they don't sell it, you don't need it

http://www.mcmaster.com/

you might have to buy a pack of 100 of them, but it should still be under $15..

Try your local car parts store. They always have a ton of different sized O-Rings.

if it involves a screw thread try teflon tape.
