Fat Discus

One of my discus is fat - I assume bloated or having trouble digesting or blockage. So I didn't feed them their normal food last night or today, instead I fed them peas. No change as of yet and they aren't too crazy about the peas, but they do eat them. Any other suggestions? And how long should I continue to only feed them peas?

Are there pictures of your fat discus? I'd feed them daily. They serve as laxatives and should not harm your discus.

No pix at the moment. It just looks like he has a lump in his stomach area, just before his pelvic fins. Looks like he has a small marble in there!

I'd definitely try the peas for possible constipation. I've never seen anything about discus suffering from bloat and I find it unlikely.

Thanks, I will continue with the peas!

Here are some pics from tonight. The lump is still there! He is acting completely normal. I have introduced peas in their diet but this lump still exists (it's been 3+ weeks). Do discus show when they are carrying eggs? If so, where?

Thanks!

This guy still has the lump and one other has it too! Any ideas? They all seem fine still but it is pretty strange!

I also feed my discus zucchini and spinach. I use a Kelp Klip that is usually used in salt tanks. They love the stuff!!!!!!!!!

I'll give it a try, how do you prepare the zucchini and spinach?
