Update on Goldfish....
tank. Got a new to me 30 gallon tank with hood, filter, light, background, algea scrubber, heater, and white gravel (that I am going to put on my walkway LOL), for $40.00. Then I went to petsmart and got two bunches of Anachris some black gravel and a friend. I have named the big one Gramps (short for grandpa) and the new little guy Pecas which is Spanish for freckles. Pecas is much small than Gramps but they seem to like each other. LOL
Here is Pecas its hard to get a clear shot of him because hes always moving. LOL
Gramps playing peek a boo:
This one is dark but you can really see the size difference at first Pecas was afraid of Gramps but now he has figured out that he will not be eaten so they are friends:
And here is a full tank shot please excuse the crappy pictures my camera use to work great but now its doing wierd things like switching between settings with out me moveing the button. I have asked Santa for a new one so we will see. :-D
That looks like a pretty good setup. Those anarcharis will double in size in about a week. Mine grow like a weed, but this is good because my goldies like to snack on them.
Wow Pecas is small. ^-^ I looked at him in comparison to the anarcharis and then looked at my guys next to the anarcharis. Don't worry, they'll get bigger. They'll be huge and begging for food in no time.
And your camera still gets better pics than mine. x_x
Thanks Koimaiden he was the smallest bt also the prettiest one in the tank at Petsmart the pictures really, really do not do him justice. ; )
He does have adorable coloration; it will change as he gets older. Maybe he'll get some red. Maybe the black will grow. You never know with fish! I see my kois' coloration change every year. Color patterns spread and become darker. I can't wait to see some pictures of him in a few years. ^-^
Also I hear you about the pictures. Only my pond seems to be able to be captured well on camera. I take a picture of anything else and it just doesn't come out right.
They are both really active always swimming around and looking for food. LOL So far they have not bothered the anarcharis there is a little less duckweed but that stuff grows so fast it should be able to keep up with them snacking on it from time to time. I am going to order some Java Fern in a week or so to put along the back then I will move the anacharis to the sides of the tank and maybe some thick leaved compact anubias for along the middle/front. I had forgotten how much I liked haveing goldies.
