New Goldfish....
Hi everyone! Here are pics of my new goldfish right now he is only in a temp 10 gallon tank but tomorrow I may be getting a 40 gallon tank for him and then maybe a couple friends later on. You can read the story on how I ended up with him here:
And here are the pictures:
This one is a little fuzzy but I wanted you to see his tail to see if it looks normal. I think all three sections should be about the same length but the two on the sides are very short. Could it be because he was not well cared for before I got him? Do you think they will grow back with clean water and good care?

It looks abnormal and will probably not grow back.

His eyes also look really big in relation to body size. Am I seeing things, or could he be stunted?

That's awesome that you took him, you're fantastic!

Thanks Mina. I am not sure about his eyes I will have to look at more pics of goldies. LOL Another of my friends has the 40 that I may get today its suspose to have alot of stuff with it but she not exactly sure what all is in with it someone left it in a storage unit she owns and she only wants $40 for it and she said I could pay her when ever I get my settlement check she thinks its a 30 or 40 gallon. I have been researching plants and am reading that Java Fern, Anubias and Swords that have thick leaves do well with goldies exspecially if you tie them to rocks or driftwood, or plant them in clay flowers pots with rocks big enough that the goldies can not move them on top of them so I think I am going to give those a try as well. I am thinking a row of java fern along the back of the tank a large sword to one side and some short thick leaves anubias along the front.

He is stunted to me. It's a watonai, elongated body with double tail. Wakins have much shorter tails.

Thanks Lupin.
