i bought 10 guppies, 9 females and 1 male, my tank is a 50 gallon tank, and the water temperature is temperate between 60-70 F. the guppy start dying the first week and i got the dead fish out about a few hour, but the other fishes start to die one by one after, but i got baby guppy alive and 4 female, what should i do to get my reproduction system start up again?
Welcome to TFK tell us a little bit about your setup, what are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrates and pH)? Did you cycle this tank before adding fish? Are there any other inhabitants?
If you don't know what cycling is this read this post first http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/freshwater-aquarium/beginners-guide-freshwater-aquarium-cycle-38617/
While guppies are pretty adaptive the water temp probably should be above 70 probably closer to 75-78 for better health. Even if its 70 degrees but stable its better then a fluctuation of 60-70 through out the day.
