Eclipse Day light tubes

I was curious if when night time comes... if its ok for the fish if I turn off the tank light? (I did it the other day and noticed the fish seemed to get nervous ?).. is it ok to have the light off during the night? (it makes it easier for me to sleep.. since the fish tank is right in my room.... lights up my room at night ).. and I like to sleep in darkness.

Fish need "sleep" that is why we turn off the lights during nighttime.;) Best to turn off the aquarium lights first while the room light is on. The gradual process will not stress the fish.

awesome.. thanks for telling me. Cause I definitely noticed when I turned off the light... they seemed to get nervous (and bolt around the tank).

yeah animals rely on night and day cycles even more than humans do and so its very important to simulate night and day as much as possible. I always make sure my lights are off at night and I often don't even turn them on during the day since the room is so well lit.
