hammer coral.....

when i got up this morning and looked at my saltwater tank i noticed that my hammer coral is expelling a stringy substance, is it dying or should i not be worried?

update, the coral does not have the string stuff on it anymore.... its now attatched to the front of the tank....

It could be excreting waste or shedding a mucous coating.
