Can anyone tell me what this fish actually is?

The shop said is a Blind Swamp Eel, and while it does appear to be blind, it doesn't look like any of the images we've found on line of swamp eels, not behave like the few sites talking about swamp eels have described.

Help?
Thank you!

Caeselian worm. An amphibian. I had one once. It died from being sucked up into the intake of a Magnum 300. Great escape artists and they have a great sense of curiousity. (As can be attested to by mine dying while trying to get a hickey).

agreed although it is spelt Caecilian
you'll not get a positive ID on genus and species as there are 5 different family's, 26 genera and 124 species that all look very similar to the human eye. DNA would be the only way of id-ing the one you have.
