golden apple snails and redhorn problem!
 

ooook well iv had my tank for about 5 dyas now i got a dozen rcs and 3 apple snails and 7 or so red horns the problem is my golden snails are going brown at the pointy bit at teh end thort it was becuase they ready to breed but they all have it and its not just pointy end its spreading half the shell some dont ahve it at end but on main part of shell and all the red horns just have grey on thier end pointy bit not on any other part of the shell jsut the end pointy buit its all gray someone please reply urgently help!!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, can you post a picture? Is it algae growing on their shells? You will need to make sure you are feeding the snails and shrimp since this is a new tank but not over feeding. Really snails and shrimp are very bad to add to a new tank they need a tank that is established at least a few months. Do you have fish in the tank also?

no i dont have any fish i fed them some spinch yesterday i overfed only a tiny bit i just had a very careful look at my apple snail and its shell is staring to diterate at the end what do i do now help! i dont want them to die :( well i got the tank off ebay and bought live some live plans fontinalis and amazon sword plant the people at pet shp said wait 2 weeks since shrimp are fragile i did and then got on friday so ye no fish jsut red horn apple and shrimp the shrimp are fine 1 died 1st day but rest are active and healthy

I'm not quite sure what is going on. Maybe your pH is too low? Or other parameters are off? I dunno. What is your pH? What is your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate? Do you know your hardness?

Maybe with those numbers, someone can wager a better guess.

ph 7.0 amoonia no idea gr 30 all my parametres and stuff in awuriums if u go to tab under my name
