Kerri king Tetra? Anyone?
i think they are also called "purple Tetra" Inpaichthys kerri
anyone ever keep them?
THey keep catching my eye at the LFS
Yes, I had a group of Kerri Tetra some years ago. Nice fish. Very active, swimming a lot, so not a good mix with sedate fish like angelfish, but otherwise very peaceful. Needs room to swim, and even though the profile [which I wrote] suggests a 24-inch tank as minimum, I would suggest it will fare better in a 36-inch. It is often incorrectly called a blue emperor, although it has no close relationship to the Emperor Tetra and in my opinion, having had both, a much nicer aquarium resident. Easy and prolific spawner. There is more info in the profile, so I won't repeat all that.
