Do you think this was a bristle worm?

I was rearranging my rock yesterday and felt my finger stinging. When I looked at it under high light I could see very fine hairs like fuzzy cactus sticking out of my finger. It was a group of at least 20 in a tiny area. I have never seen any worms in my tank..but just because I see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

Could have been, thats how they work. But the Fire Bristle worms will do more damage than the normal ones. To see if you have any you'll have to do the night search, thats when they become more active. Turn lights off for a bit, then get your flashlight out and take a peek.
Below is the Fire Bristle Worm. Very nasty lil bugger.

Hmm..I will be out on the search tonight. After a while it felt like my finger was swollen and throbbing...I'm good now though.
