Brillanat rasboras
 

I seen these time to time at my lfs and I was thinking about getting some, but wanted to yet some info first. Are they peaceful etc.

They will be in a 55 planted with:

8 black phantom tetras
3 platies
3 marbled mollies
1 pearl gourami

I was thinking maybe ten of the rasboras.

Also how many should i add at once 6 or 7 and the gourami( my lfs is the only place i can find them so i was trying to save a trip. Tell me what you think.

Nevermind, I'll just stick with neons. Aquaadvisor said it wouldnt work anyways.

What is their reason? Assuming the species is Rasbora einthovenii, it attains under 4 inches, needs a group, is very peaceful. You've space in a 55g. ??

Its their pH needs, I think.

No, it said I need to add another filter, because my filteration was too low.

What filter do you have?

And Mina is correct that water parameters might be an issue, if extreme. What is your hardness and pH?

I have a marineland emperor 400 pro. Ill get my water tested this weekend.

Doesn't the Brilliant Rasbora need a pH of 6-6.5? If that's the case, either they or the livebearers are going to be compromised, no matter what her parameters, yeah?

Edit: when I double checked my info, I find some sites that list a broader acceptable pH for these kids. So maybe it'll be okay. But I think their natural habitat is 6-6.5.
