RCS is Berried

Ok so I finally got my Red Cherry Shrimp for my puffer tank and surprisingly all five survived and none have been eaten o.o I am so happy ^^ but there is an issue. There are eggs under several of the females, I think I have two males and three females, anyway they are sure to drop soon because they came with them and I was wondering what I should do with my filter in order to stop the babies from being sucked up? I know some of them will get eaten by the puffers but I hope since I have so many plants in one corner that it will give the babies enough cover. I don't know if it will work but I definitely know that the filter won't help. So what should I do?

By the way, I've fallen in love with the little guys, they have turned such a dark red. They must be happy because of all the left over plant matter and stuff to scavenge. <3 they add such a nice amount of color to the tank for such little guys.

I have a number of RCS in a 5 gallon, that I one day will have to put some of them over to my other tanks, because they are breeding like crazy. They will likely get eaten, so I know the feeling, as I hate to see those cute little thing get eaten. :-) I bought a fluval foam intake cover to keep babies from getting up in the filter. They are green and are the size of a flea. You could also just take a mesh bag and tie it over the filter intake. The fluval intake cover was like $3.74. I see my little guys eating off that, so they are taking food/debris that gets stuck on the intake.

I use panty hose (black to match the filter intake) and zip tie them on. Fancy DIY, lol. Like Gwen's, my RCS crawl all over the pantyhose area eating everything on it that can't make it through. I agree with you, they are darn cute. :-)
