which fish eat adult guppies?
 

I am looking for suggestions of fish eat adult guppies? I am thinking about my next tank ...
I have 6 guppies right now that are starting to breed ... 3 pregnant feeder guppy females, 1 fancy male, and 2 babies. I thought it might be a good idea to get a fish that eats adult guppies so I could keep my population in check as they breed. The babies are so cute ... I want to keep the babies around because I like to watch them grow ... so my next tank would ideally include something that eats adult guppies... what do you think?

that when the guppys get to adult size,see if your
LFS(local fish store) will take them.

LFS is an option ... but since they are "feeder" guppies, wouldn't they probably get eaten in the end anyway if I give them back to the fish store?

I'm not sure yet ... i haven't bought a new tank yet. still in the planning stage... I think I will try to pick my next fish first and then figure out what size tank I need.
My friend wants to sell me his 155-gallon tank with blue acaras. I wonder if they will eat guppies?

I put three 2" Leopard Cteopoma in a tank with about 30 guppies, and they ate all but the two largest. At full size (nearly 6"), Leopard Cteonos can eat any guppy ever born.

Clown knife, bichir, oscar, jack dempsey, pacu, large angelfish, Puffers, crayfish will eat them if they can catch them, arrawana, Gar, mud puppies, (aka, tiger salamandar in water form), and some others I can not recall at the momment.

This list could be a million fish long. I would pick a tank size you think you can obtain and a family or some "Type" of fish that catches your eye or colors you want or something to narrow the list down.

My favorites would be datnoids and bichirs of any species.
