Can anyone 'name that creature'???
A while back now i was browsing some of the fish tanks on here, and I came across a very stunning tank, they had a very good video, the one thing that captured me was the strange aquatic creature.... I saw it, found the name of it and looked into a little bit of information, but now i want to go back and research it some more, ive completley forgotten its name!!!
It was like an earthworm, best way to put it. Head was kind of flat, very pale cream/white colour and was about 2 foot long in the video. From what i remember from looking it up on the web was it came up for air about 5 times a day, but mostly just stayed in the substrate. It was a very very strange creature, and I wish i knew what it was to look into it some more :)
Any ideas? Name that creature!
That would be my caecilian, Typhlonectes natans. Commonly called a rubber eel. My 3.5 year old female escaped the tank a couple months ago and I lost her as a result. I took that pretty hard:cry:. I have just my adult male now.
It was your tank i found! They are beautiful :) Sorry for your loss.
