parisite?? what is it??

I found a flat looking fish in my tank today and I have no idea what it is. I can't get a decent picture of it because it won't stop moving and it's kind of see through. It looks like a little stingray but it has 4 little legs and a tail. It's got a little green tint to it and it's got a dark line on it's back. Is it going to hurt my fish? Is it a fish or is it a parisite?

I dont think keishakay knows what that is, from what she told me i believe she said she found it ON one of her guppies

better safe than sorry. if it were me, I'd put in some medicine to kill parasites, just in case.

Well she went to a local LFS and they said it was fish lice

I'm taking it to another local LFS and going to ask today.

I found out that it was a fish flea. like on cats and dogs, fish are able to catch fleas as well.

Romad 11-08-2011 04:35 AM

Yuk. Did they tell you how to get rid of it?

keishakay 01-05-2012 01:58 AM

nope, the lfs said that there was nothing to do about it and the medication that they gave me didnt work. all my fish died and im not happy.
