poor BKG
 

well today i came home from work and i see my BKG is out and having a little alge for lunch :D . Then my bichir comes outta left field and attacks him :shock: after 2 months of being pals my bichir just attacks him out of no where, but anyways after hes attacked i put my hand in the tank and grab my bichir and he released my BGK. So now my BGK is in shock and swims away from that and goes in a cave and then hes attacked by one of my crabs :redmad: so i had to go in a save him again, so then i finally got my BGK out of my tank and put him in a hospital tank. i hope hes ok tho he pretty banged up. i dont know what to do tho cause im afraid to put him back in the tank when he heals that my bichir will attack again.

You answered your own question mate, looks like your looking for a foster tank. :cry:

Sorry man, but predation occurs regardless of whether or not you think they may be 'pals'. My betta and ABF seem like friends, but I've caught them nipping at each other quite vigorously during feeding.

Animal instinct mate, can't change it.

Yep I agree I'm afraid. Either you'll need to invest in a new tank for the BGK, or rehome either it or the bichir.

i got 2 BGKs and i may get another bichir. the reason i think the bichir attacked the BGK is because he was way bigger so i think i may get another bichir but a smaller one. so well have to see because ive had the bichir for so long and he was a good 9 inchs and my ghost knife was about 6 and so well see.
