Shell Dweller Questions!
Hello all, right now I'm deciding what to do with my 10 gallon after it's done with it's current use, and right now I'm deciding between Shell Dwellers or a Pacman Frog( turn it into a terrarium, of course). So my questions, how many could I have in there? And would 1 be OK alone? I've heard some controversy on food, ranging from Zooplankton to Vegtable flakes to Brine Shrimp. So what do they eat? And just making completely sure, I've read one source saying they used Aragonite Sand, and I'm nearly certain the lake the originate from is Freshwater, but they are freshwater, right?
They are freshwater, and the most likely species you are looking at is Neolamprologus Multifisciatus, they can eat flake, frozen, and zooplankton aragonite is a good substrate and it buffers the pH to where you would need
I would use NLS for food. it is a good quality pellet that will fit all their needs. You will probably need the .5 mm size. i feed it too my 2.5: centrarchus babies and they love it.
