Tiger Barbs in a 20L Tank?
Would tiger barbs work in a species only 20L tank? I was thinking 7 0r 8 of them.
In a 20 gallon Long, you should be able to house a group of Tiger Barb. They need swimming room, so that is the length (30 inches), and with plants and chunks of wood you could have a group of 8, which is the minimum number I would recommend, as noted in our profile (click on the shaded name).
And welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.
Thanks for the help Byron. This is my first aquarium so I'm not very knowledgable about fish.
20 litres, so 5 gallons? I would think that's too small to house a proper sized group of tiger barbs.
I think he means a 20 long
Ah, the Canadian in me sees L and automatically thinks Litres. :-D
You two are not the only ones who thought liters. I actually typed a response about 20 liters/5 gallons being much too small for almost anything, then fortunately re-read the initial post before sending my post.
