New to guppies

I have had other fish before but this is the first time we have had guppies. We purchased two, a male and female. The male is just hiding out by the filter and heater. The female is MIA. She is white, the only other hiding spot is a tunnel but I don't see her anywhere. How long before they get used to their new home and come out?

Okay, found the female. She didn't make it.

You found her dead??? I have 3 guppies as of right now in a 10 gallon tank and they are doing well. The 2 females are pregnant. But how is your male now?

I have quite a few guppies, in my experience guppies for my local fish stores don't seem to be very hardy. Some seem like they can live threw anything but most do not.

I would check you water just to be safe since your male is also acting funny (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates) but they may have been sick when you got them.

How long has your tank been set up? When did you buy the guppies? Any other fish in the tank?
