hammer coral i have a new hammer coral that just isnt opening fully its come out a tiny bit..... any thing im doing wrong? should i move it lower in the tank? just incase there is more currant that i think there is in its current location? |
It can take up to, or longer than, a month for them to fully extend. Euphyllia are subject to damage in transport. It is possible it rolled over in the bag on the way home, cutting it's flesh on the sharp exoskeleton. It may also be getting some unwanted attention from the new puffer. |
the puffer doesnt seem to care about the coral, hes quite happy just pottering around the other side of the tank, but it looks like part of the corals skeleton has broken... maybe that happened in transport |
would it open up quicker with a brighter light? |
