I was just thinking about my plec, and how he's quite active, but of course is limited to the size of his tank. :( He always seems as if he'd like to get out and have a look around...
Then i got to thinking about how i used to have a hampster and it had a little plastic ball that it used to run around the house in...
It wouldn't be too trick to make a watertight version that i could fill with water and put my plec in, and he could have a wander around the house while a watched telly. He could even go for walks to the park in it! :D
Just a thought for all thouse poor fish trapped in 4' boxes - let's give them a little more freedom hey?
For it to be truly watertight there would be no way of air getting in so the fish would suffocate.
Sorry, I know this wasn't meant to be serious...Just ahd to point it out.
Well, if it was a fairly big ball (I'm sure Rosie the RTC would appreciate one, and she's 2.5ft long!) you could leave a not fill it all the way up, leaving a bubble in there to allow o2 tranfer into the water. It wouldn't last for ever, but it'd do for a while round the house, Hell, you could get two and have races!
Or just get a lungfish like mine and put a plastic bag in your backpack and take the fish with you to the park that way.
Cunning idea Gump. How wet do Lungfish have to stay? If I wore damp jeans could he sit on my lap whilst I read him a story?
Sure could. Mine has spent the night on the floor twice now. Just no ruff material and have a good explanation why you have a huge fish in your lap.
I just said! I'm telling him a story - i thought moby dick...
I'm sure he'll love that one Tobes!
Just thought of another use for the Fishball (pat. pending...)
Gambling! Now you can race two previously completely incompatable animals!
What's faster - A 2ft plec, or a Guinea Pig, a Lobster or a duck, a 9' mekong river catfish or a horse, a Sterbai cory or a kitten. The possibilities are endless!
