Angels breeding

Well here is my pair of mating angels I now have two 75g tanks full of angels. The hardest part is raising the brine shrimp. For the brine shrimp hatchery I cut the bottom off of a large tapered wine bottle using a wetsaw for tile. made a stand for that held two bottles upside down added the salt water brine shrimp eggs and air on high. Feeding the fry three times a day and remembering to start new batches of shrimp water changes for the fry keeps you busy.

Wow! Is that first fish and Yellow as she appears? Lovely color. Do you sell your Angel babies to a fish store? I have 2 that are pairing up but honestly, I am hoping that tank mates will eat any eggs they produce, I am not wanting to go through any more baby raising.

Yes the one fish as a lot of yellow. I do not currently sell to pet stores. I wanted to see how babies turned out before getting rid of them

I have 2 angelfish that have paired and laid there first batch of eggs the other day. I only noticed a few days ago that they had paired lol. They are now in my 90L tank and choose the filter to put their eggs on. Getting a slate for next time as i ahve read that it is roughyl 2-3 weeks between the first and second batch of eggs.

I bought 30 angelfish fry in janurary and really enjoyed raising them. One of the angels who have paired is one of the oens i raised. I'm just letting them do it naturally to see how it goes. They've taken me by surprise as i wasn't expecting to have a pair. I currently have 7 angels and did have 8 but i lost one a month back. It was one of the ones i raised myself and it was smaller than the others. It gave me alot of joy to raise them. 3 of my angels are too small to be with the bigger ones hence why i won't be raising a batch myself for a while as i only have 3 tanks, the smallest being the spare lol. Once my 3 small ones are big enough to be with my bigger ones then i may just save some eggs and raise some again.

Angels are beautiful fish and by far my faviourite species in tropical fish.
