what can i feed my rts that my gourami wont eat? everything i put in the tank seems to get eaten by the gourami. even sinking pellets and algae wafers.

gouramis mainly eat everything u feed them, red tails usually like vegetables, u should try sinking a cucumber to the bottom of the tank using a wheight. that should give them enough time to have a bite

Can the same be said for rainbow sharks and cucumbers, then? I've never seen mine eat, and they won't touch the sinking pellets.

My Rainbow shark loves the sinking pellets. I have a little log that he hides in most of the time and there are holes in the top. I drop some of the pellets into his house and have peeked in and he is gobbling them up as quick as can be. Also, I have fed at night and noticed he is out and about picking pellets left over on plants, wood and substrate. I think as long as you have enough food in there, they get plenty.

i don't know if RTS's are nocturnal, but what i do for my pleco is feed my barbs and swords on one side of the tank right before i turn off the light, and drop a few algae wafers in on the other side, hoping to distract the barbs and swords from the wafers. i also feed zucchini once a week for the pleco.
