Sweet Aquatics vs Planted Aquarium Central

I can get so many more plants for the same amount of money at Sweet Aquatics, but I've heard they die back pretty much after arrival. Whilst more expensive, I get superb quality at Planted Aquarium Central. What to do?!?!

Well coming from my experience with ordering plants from SA I think I would go with a little more $ wise for better plants ( ones that are not dead on arrive ).

I haven't ordered from Planted Aquarium Central, but I can say I just ordered from SA though it takes 3 weeks and I got my plants half dead, I was very happy with my order, after 2 weeks all my plants were doing well on week 3 or 4 now and they all seem to have bounced back. I would order from them again. I knew before my order it seems to average 3 weeks so I was not disappointed there, with the prices I have been happy.

The 45 dollar shipping at plantedaquariumcebtral ruined that for me. I got some drifteood and 15 plants, with shipping, for 50 bucks at sweet aquatics. Fingers crossed.

Do let us know how your order goes, I do know that SA just moved so maybe they are just having trouble getting settled in and it will get better.

I read a ton of horror stories back in February about the poor shipping and customer response time due to some inclement weather problems (which is acceptable). Well, I placed a 55 dollar order and that was five days ago No fall weather should be stopping this order. No word from them. I just emailed them today. I'll email them tomorrow if they don't get back to me again. If I hear no word by Sunday, I'm going to open a paypal dispute to get them to get it resolved. 7 days is more than a gracious amount of time to contact your buyer of a moderate sized order and let them know what's going on.

I bought plants on eBay from half a dozen buyers, and from three people on this forum already. They have all gotten to me regarding my order within 24 hours after paying them. This is unacceptable. Unless the plants are in GREAT condition, I probably won't be ordering from them again.

I want to say there were 5 or more people who ordered last month and I don't think that any of us got our orders in under 3 weeks and most plants looked bad. The swords I got and everyone else's looked great but that was it. I wasn't in any hurry but they are really slow, I did not take pics when I got my plants but a few members did and I believe they got refunds. After a month my plants are doing great, all in all I was ok with it I knew when I ordered they were very slow.

I contacted them many times when I placed a big order last year regarding shipping estimate with no responses. I think this is because they are a small operation and don't have the manpower to reply to all of the e-mails they receive. If you aren't in any real hurry for the plants, hang in there and see what shows up.

You'll know when they ship by checking the website but don't be surprised if you don't hear from them until they ship.

Good luck and let us know how the plants are when you receive them.

Order my plant's from Aquariumplant's.com.
Alway's pleased with plant's and service.I ordered some anubia's on wed,and tracking indicates they should arrive today.(paid for second day air)
Bad expierience with SA, can't,won't, deal with them again.

I had a good experience with SA

i knew it would be 3 weeks.

they are so cheap and i feel like in this hobby getting anything for cheap is worth it lol

all my plants arrived green and i have lost 0 (zero) all the swords had the submerged version of the leaves

all in all if your not in a hurry id order from them.

i agree its probably a small organization and they just dont have the man power. Just think of how many of us on this forum order from them now multiply that by the rest of the fish keeping community. its not wonder they are 3 weeks behind.

my biggest problem was always their out of stock on almost all the cool stuff all the time.
