Help! How do I get my wet/dry filter started?

I must be missing something here... I don't understand how I'm supposed to get my wet/dry filter running.

I'm probably doing it all wrong lol but I'm not sure how you're supposed to start it, I just thought you would start the suction for the u-tubes and that would fill the box and then it would go down to the filter part and then the pumps would pump the water back up... I can't figure it out and have no instructions for it. I've tried many thing to get suction going in the u-tubes but nothing works. How am I supposed to start it?

Maybe this will help:
Setting Up Your Filter

Or try one or more of these:
Google

GOOD LUCK

Thanks, got it started, all I had to do was suck the air out of the tubes with airline tubing lol
