Is that sand in the middle? What is on the outsides?

Yes it is that is black flourite for the plants I will be adding Ive done some more work on it today so I will put some more pics up tonight:-)

Do you put something between the sand and the flourite? Thinking if not then the two might end up mixing together later down the road which would be a mess. I like the idea through and should look nice.

Eventually it might mix there is no fish in there i just like to rescape my tanks I am retired so it keeps my hands and mind busy.:-)

I often rescape my tanks lol I work 50-60hrs a week but this is my only past time hobby when i am not working or playing with the kids. When you get it done post some pics as it will be an interesting look.

A few pics water is still cloudy have to move sponge filter. There is no fish.:-)

Is your sand blue? It looks white in the first pics but then blue in the next. I love it, I'm trying something like that in one of my 10g but it looks no where near that good.

Yeah how did you get the blue effect? It looks good!

AH that my secret :brow: just kidding I found that at Petsmart the other day. It is from those zoo people the ones that make reptile stuff forget their name. I seen it there and just happened to read the back it has no artificial dyes in it and they say its 100% safe. I do not have fish in there so it does not matter but I wanted to be sure in case I add fish. :-)
