Hello everyone. I recently got my scuba diving license. I scheduled a diving trip to the Florida Keys but everyday was rained out. The only place i have dived was in michigan and it was a shipwreck. It was amazing. I really want to dive in saltwater though. Any places I should go?
I haven't even been close to all the spots I hope to someday dive but of the ones I've been to this is how I rank them:
Saltwater - best bang for your buck is Cozumel and the diving there is amazimg.
Some of the places I've dove are (but not limited to)...
Every one of the Great Lakes (lots)
Florida (from the caves in N. FL to The Keys)
Crand Cayman, Cayman Brac & Little Cayman
Turks & Caicos
Coco's Island, Costa Rica (for the Hammerhead migration...AWESOME!)
Dang im going to have a big check list now lol. I have heard great things about fiji aswell and the red sea. But the place that i went to (I forgot the name of it) was up in traverse city about 30 yards from the bay. The wreck itself was around 30-35 feet deep. I have snorkeled in hawaii and that has been my favorite spot by far to snorkel, but i want to dive it. Have you heard of malokini and lanai?
