Ballast Question

Can I use a CF ballast to power a T5 bulb?

I have a CFL ballast (current SL60T) made for 1 65w Compact Flourescent Bulb and I want to Power 1 54w T5 with it. Can I?

you can try. The wattage and the bulb diameter are pretty similar. You still might see short life of through bulb or ballast. Is it NO T5 or HO?
