temps for Red Cherry Shrimp I bought one RCS at Petco. They guy said they'd do fine in 84 degrees, which is what I have my 2 blue rams in. When I got home and put him in, I did some reading on them. Read they should not be in temps over 80. Also, he does have places to hide, but he may be a meal for my Blue Rams. Anyone have thoughts? Should I put him in my other tank, with just community fish? I just have to catch him to do that, but I'm thinking it may be a good idea. Love some input! Gwen |
Yes, that is probably a good idea to move him. You must consider how he may be eaten and that is why he is hiding. I say you should definately move him before he becomes to stressed out. |

Thanks, but it looks like I'm to late. I'm very bummed. When I read your message, my mom was over visiting. I figured I'd get him after work today, as he was hiding and seemed fine. I pulled all the wood out and he is nowhere to be seen. I think he's been eaten. My Blue Rams are still young and not very big, but I guess they killed him. The 2 Japanese algae eating shrimp (ammano, not spelled right?) are doing great, truckin' around all over on everything. They are bigger than the little red guy - so sad :( Gwen |
