First Cannister Filter... Huge!

I didn't realize these thing were so massive. Not sure where I'm going to put this monster!

The Pikes I recently got are poop factories, so I decided to buck up and get a better filtering system. (The tank has a HOB75 and sponge/powerhead currently) (46 Bow in my aquarium profile)

I went with the Aquatop CF-400 UV. One thing is it looks cool. :-)

So I'm off to set this thing up... :shock:

It is advised you put it directly under your tank. The top of the filter should be about 1' away from the bottom of the tank.

Looks like a nice filter for up to 125g and a good price (around $80). Be sure to come back with comments after setup and later.

Well right now it's sitting directly beside the tank. It's running fine though.

So far so good. Seems to be made really well. I have bought a few other Aquatop products like heaters, etc. and they seemed really nice so I went with them again for this.

It's really quiet. I was worried about noise after seeing the size of it. Makes a slight hum that you can only hear when you are right next to the tank. So if it was underneath the tank in a cabinet I'm sure you wouldn't even be able to hear it.
