First Cannister Filter... Huge! I didn't realize these thing were so massive. Not sure where I'm going to put this monster! The Pikes I recently got are poop factories, so I decided to buck up and get a better filtering system. (The tank has a HOB75 and sponge/powerhead currently) (46 Bow in my aquarium profile) I went with the Aquatop CF-400 UV. One thing is it looks cool. :-) http://site.truaqua.com/yswimages/aq...r-cf-400uv.jpg So I'm off to set this thing up... |
It is advised you put it directly under your tank. The top of the filter should be about 1' away from the bottom of the tank. |
Looks like a nice filter for up to 125g and a good price (around $80). Be sure to come back with comments after setup and later. |

Well right now it's sitting directly beside the tank. It's running fine though. Quote:
So far so good. Seems to be made really well. I have bought a few other Aquatop products like heaters, etc. and they seemed really nice so I went with them again for this. It's really quiet. I was worried about noise after seeing the size of it. Makes a slight hum that you can only hear when you are right next to the tank. So if it was underneath the tank in a cabinet I'm sure you wouldn't even be able to hear it. |
