I would very much like to know others experience also. My java moss has taken over my tank I'm not very impressed with how it looks but my fish and shrimp seem to love it so much I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. I have tiny strings of java moss everywhere it drives me crazy. I have thought about trying another moss but with most I have seen being slow growers I haven't.

Does it float loose like java moss and get everywhere?

no... It doesn't float, and only if you rip it

My java moss has not grown at all in the 6 or so weeks I have had it

If you fluff it out it seems to grow better, like I was saying though my problem is I have strings of it everywhere. I'm with you though I'm ready to try some other mosses.

uhh define "fluff it out"

Spread it thinly around the tank, it grows slower when bunched together. I get good growth from mine but I can't say I'm getting extra bucket fulls or anything.
