pleco laying on back/side?
my common pleco keeps laying on his side/back under a piece of driftwood. usually i see him upside down one the driftwood, but now he is just under it, not clinging to it like usual. you can kind of see in the picture, his mouth is not touching the wood at all.
should i be worried about him and if so, what can i do for him?
my ABN does this too sometimes. I'm not sure but I think when mine does it he is just sleeping. After a while he stirs and attaches himself to something or come out to rasp on driftwood, or whatever.
My placo wouldn't attach to anything for the first hour after I placed him in the tank. He just floated around on his back line nobody's business, because maybe he was too stressed out, but he's okay now. I'm guessing their suckers just get tired after a while or maybe they're just not hungry. My placo, even now sometimes will just float around at the bottom of the tank. I'm pretty sure, yours will be fine.
