Bristle Worms

Hey Guys,

I just bought live rock for my FOWLR set up and have discovered two rather large bristle worms. my buddy tells me that this not good as they will prey on fish sleeping in the rocks. Is this true? or will they be ok ?

I have never heard of Bristle Worms of eating small fish, but they can get rather large. From the sounds of it the life rock you purchased is not cured. Once cured all those little unwanted buggers usually disappear. Did you already cycle your tank?

They are considered by some as an asset since they clean detritus. Some fear them as the spikes burn like heck. I'd say it's more up to you and what you want.
