How many Harlequins? Currently in my 29gal I have 9 Harlequin Rasboras 2 Dwarf Gouramis 3 Mystery Snails and 6 Ghost shrimp. How many more Rasboras can I fit in there? And While I'm at it, how many more shrimp? |

I've never kept ghost shrimp but I know some species can get to a fair size, 3" or so. Wouldn't there be the danger that these could hurt the cories? I agree with Lupin, up to another 10 rasboras would fit, and make for a lovely site when such a lrge group school together. |
Thanks Ive really been thinking about the Cories but some of the gravel in my tnak is kinda big 1/2" would this be alright. The gravel is smooth. If the shrimp get that big I'm making some shrimp cocktail. |
As long as the gravel isnt sharp the cories should be fine. How big is big? Pea sized or smaller will def be fine but if it's bigger it still could be fine depending on how much of it is this size. |
It gets to about half an inch. The pic below shows the gravel. http://fishforum.com/userpix/2638_Dwarf_Gourami2_1.jpg |
Doesn't look like the gravel has sharp edges to me. |
I think the cories would be fine. |
corries would do fine there. and yeah, you could have 15 harlequins in there. i have 6 in my 10 gallon- 3 regular and 3 black, and they all school together. they are a sweet peaceful fish! i love them- have fun! |
I went ahead and did go wtih 15 rasboras and 5 cories. 8) |
