Very small clown loach
So months and months ago before I knew about the huge max size of the clown loach I'd bought a few for my 55 gallon. They were alllll from petsmart. Well, most of them ended up dying and I came down to one left. Not wanting it to be by itself I went and bought another clown loach, but this time from my LFS instead of petsmart. Immediately I noticed something strange... The one from my LFS was way more vibrant looking. It's very active and and social with the other loaches in my tank (yoyo loaches). The one remaining from petsmart though just looks sickly and it has for a long time. It's skinny, it hasn't grown at all, and it spends most of its time sitting in one spot. And then when I feed the tank it kind of just swims through the food but won't eat any of it. Very rarely do I see it eat anything.
Really, I'm posting this because I have no idea how this fish has been alive as long as it has been now. It's been probably four months since I got it and it never got any better, but it has yet to die. What is wrong with this loach? Are fish from petsmart really THAT bad? (will post a picture if I can get one later)
What are your tank parameters? Also, what are you feeding? Is the clown loach from your lfs eating okay? If you haven't already, try feeding live or frozen bloodworms. Mine love them

My clown loach from the lfs has always been a voracious eater. Clicks like mad when I feed it bloodworms. On an everyday basis they get tetra color flakes, but I also have them on a schedule eating fresh cucumber and broccoli heads. Every now and again I'll treat them with some blood worms though and they always seem to really love it. The clown loach from petsmart though has always eaten like a bird. Not nearly as excited at feeding time as the others.
