What kind of snail is this?
 

I have about 6 of these snails that have popped up in my tank over a week ago. I know from reading that they hitch a ride on plants. I have not added plants in over a month and a half , I first noticed them last week and they were very tiny, now it seems like they have tripled in size in just that short time. My question is this, what kind of snails are they and should I be concerned about them being in the tank? I have some MTS coming next week, will that be an issue too?

Looks like a pond snail, they wont hurt anything I'd just leave them alone as they will help eat the left over food from your fish.
