how many can i put? Just finally getting my 55 gallon tank up and going. I currently only have 6 tiger barbs in it but Im wondering about how many tiger barbs and clown loaches can fit comfortably in my 55 gallon. It has alot of hiding spots and fake plants but no real plants. |
No clown loaches in that size of tank. A shoal of tiger barbs would be nice. I'g go for 8-10 if it were me. |
how come no clown loaches??? |
They get HUGE! On top of that they need to be in a group of at least 6 making it even less possible to have them in a 55g tank. |
clown loaches grow up to a foot, and they love lots of room to move! if you bought 6 clown loaches and they all grew a foot i would be you would have tails flaping out of the top of your tank! if you do some research there are similar small loaches that might work I personally am thinking about some kuhlis. |
lol wow thought i did my research but up to a foot yah i missed that hmm damn they looked so cool. what about corydoras? or something like that. |
Aha! Now we're talking! Personally I love cories and they are a great community fish. I would anticipate them doing jsut fine in your tank. They like to be in groups, as the loaches, so get 6 or more of the same speices and they will be a very happy, fun fish to watch. |
hi i would echo Julie about the corys, and she would be a lot of help to you on that subject. :D |
I would do 18 tiger barbs 6 reg,6 albino,6 green. and ya i would do about 8-10 cory's or 6 corys and 6 silver hatchets/marble hatchets. would look nice. this is what i am going to do in my 55 when i get it fixed. |
